About Janecek Construction
At Janecek Construction, we believe that remodeling should be a stress-free experience built on trust and personal attention. Founded by Jon Janecek and now operated alongside his son Matt, we’ve built our reputation on being personally present and hands-on for every project we undertake.
Jon’s journey began when he purchased his first fixer-upper at age 21, developing his skills through hands-on experience. After renovating and renting several properties, he established Janecek Construction in 1991, focusing initially on exterior work like siding and windows. Over the decades, Jon’s self-taught expertise has expanded to encompass all aspects of home remodeling.
Matt grew up learning the trade alongside his father, working on job sites during his high school years. After earning his degree in Construction Management and gaining six years of industry experience with other contractors in estimating and project management, Matt joined the family business to work side-by-side with his father, bringing fresh perspective and formal training to complement Jon’s decades of hands-on experience.
